• The 6.8 system has one of the tightest blade stacks in the industry, the blades in the open position only take up 1 inch (per foot of shutter coverage), including center mates.
• The 6.8 system features an offset “screw boss” that allows for lubrication of the assembly screw and isolates the hinge from the “corrosion effect” from electrolosis (dissimilar metal contact).
• Assembly screws are JS-500 plated over 410HT w/zinc for better life span & increased durability.
• Shutter Services uses significantly heavier track systems than the competition.
• The 6.8 uni mates are only 1/2 inch on each side for thinner stacking and a symetrical look. The competition’s is 2.5″ on the left and 4.5″ on the right.
• Fast and simple locking procedure – close centers & push in the key lock. That’s 1 step locking vs. a 6 step locking procedure.
• No lock bars required.
